YouTube partners recently received an email notification stating that soon the YouTube giant will introduce a monthly subscription service that will let users to watch as many videos as they want without encountering ads.
but usually when partners are informed about new features it doesn’t take too much time till changes take effect. So we think YouTube is almost ready to launch its subscription service, maybe by the end of the year.
They wrote that the decision is based on the success of YouTube Music Key Beta which allows users to pay $10/month for access to Google Play’s library and ad-free music videos on YouTube, which in less than a month got 2 million installations.
Will this affect YouTube partners revenue? No! Google states that they will share 55% of the total net revenue attribuable to the monthly views or watch time of partners content.
