Introducing the new high end device from Microsoft, the Lumia 950 which will be followed by a release of the Lumia 950XL which might be the bigger version, the Microsoft company has gone a notch higher to manufacture excellent gadgets.

The Lumia 950 retails for $550 GSM unlocked, directly from Microsoft while AT&T carriers sell it at $600 because they like to charge more for their phones.

The first flagship of Lumia was with the focus of the low end type of phones which were targeted to be affordable. This was worth the notion of taking countries like India by storm but now, the company started focusing on the higher end of the product particularly in the US. Interesting enough, this is what seems to be catching most people’s attention.

One short coming of the phone

The phone runs on a hexacore snapdragon 808 CPU with Adreno 418 which clocked 1.8 GHz, and it has been used in a lot of phones like the LG, Motorola Xperia edition and so on. This version of snapdragon is the fastest CPU but it happens to run a bit hotter.

All the advantages of Lumia 950

Microsoft Lumia 950

The phone has very nice viewing angles which gives vivid colors on the display. Inside the phone, it has a 3000 mAh removable battery and a nano SIM card slot that can accommodate up to 200GB in capacity.

The other good thing about this phone is it supports wireless charging and also the USB 2.0 charging.

If you happen to have an xbox at home, you can connect to your xbox games via the activity feed on your phone, pretty cool.

The 20 Mega Pixel camera is easy and intuitive to use, you can use one finger to zoom without even pinching, one tap and you get your nice pics just the way you want it, you can also use it to take 1080p video at 60 fps and 4K video at 40 fps with a variety of lenses to choose from like bar code lenses and others you can use from the Microsoft store.

The most exciting thing about this phone is the Continuum aspect which turns your phone into a mobile workstation connected to your PC and also your movie screen. The computer in the pocket has a lot of potential for the future.
