Now it is possible to Root your LG G5 and install a Custom Recovery. Here we will share step by step guide on How To Install TWRP Recovery & Root your LG G5 H850 European. You will be using some Fastboot commands to install the TWRP recovery. The we will easy flash the SuperSU root on the LG G5. Step 1. The first thing you will have to do is to unlock your LG G5 bootloader. You can do it by registering for free an LG developer account here.
Also you will need the device IMEI. This is the 15-digit code can be found on your box, the back of the phone or by dialing *#06#

Step 3. Make sure that you have enabled USB-Debugging on your phone from Settings > About phone >Software info and tap Build number 7 times. Return to the previous screen, select Developer options and enable USB-Debugging.
Step 4. Open Command Prompt or Terminal and enter the following ADB command to reboot into the bootloader:
adb reboot bootloader
If ADB is not detecting your device try switching your phone’s USB mode from Charging to MTP or PTP.
First you will have to flash the TWRP image, using Command Prompt or Terminal:
fastboot flash recovery twrp-3.0.2-0-h850.img
Step 6. After flashing TWRP unplug the USB cable and pull the battery. Plug battery back in then boot into recovery which should load TWRP.
Booting into recovery:
Using 2 hands.. use one finger to hold volume down.. and use the other hand for the power button. Press and hold both buttons same time.
As soon as you see the LG logo, let of the power button then quickly press it again. But keep volume down pressed! Do not let it!
Hold until you will see the Factory Reset screen.
Step 7. install SuperSU Root
The last step, is to install the root by installing SuperSU. Note that you will not be able to decrypt your internal data while in TWRP, only if you do a full /data wipe in TWRP.
Now you can manually mount your external SD card to view the SuperSu zip. Click the Install button and navigate to the external_sd, select the SuperSu.zip then swipe to install.
Now you have successful installed a Custom Recovery TWRP and fully rooted your LG G5. Have fun and note that it is really difficult to restore your device to stock ROM. Note that the root would be automatically removed once you update your Android version.
