Google Chromecast is a cheap device that allow you to stream photos, video and music to your TV through your computer or smartphone. Google Chromecast costs about $35 dollars, and for these money you get a device which gets instructions from your PC, tablet or mobile phone to stream material from the internet.
Chromecast is just a receiver which doesn’t have its own menu, theoretically you can broadcast anything from Chrome on the Chromecast, some sites even include a dedicated broadcast button.
With Chromecast you can stream anything from you Android device, same you can do with Roku or Apple TV, but Chromecast costs less, and it is compatible with Android and it has it’s own apps.
To set up Chromecast
To set up Chromecast, you will need of course a TV with an HDMI port, Wi-Fi or LAN connection and a mobile device with Chrome Browser or a computer with Chrome Browser.
Next just connect the Chromecast to your TV through the HDMI port and visit https://cast.google.com/chromecast/setup/ on your PC, download the application and follow the instructions.

If you need Chromecast’s MAC address, maybe for some security reasons like setting it on a router or other things. To find the Chromecasts MAC address you will have to go down in the Settings page. This is done in Chromecast app from your computer. See the screenshot bellow.
How to Factory Reset the Chromecast
Sometimes it happens that a device doesn’t work and you have to reset it. During testing we did no get such a problem, but for any situations it is Ok for you to know how to do it. To restore the Google Chromecast to its factory settings you will have to access the Settings menu on the Chromecast app on your PC or mobile device and then click Restore Factory Settings. Another way to do it is to hold down the physical button on Chromecast for 25 seconds.
