As the new Windows Phone 8.1 Update 1 came, we can enjoy features like a more personal Start screen, Action Center, a more familiar mouse and keyboard options and even an improved Nokia imaging apps. Also, in our opinion the biggest surprise is the personal assistant named Cortana. Yes, like Apple’s – Siri and Android’s – Hi Google.


Update to Windows Phone 8.1 Update 1

1Go to App list > Settings > Phone update

2Click Check for updates

[quote_box_center]If there are new updates and your phone supports them, you’ll be prompted to download them.[/quote_box_center]

3Go to Settings > Phone update, and then tap Download

4After the download completes click Show details, and then tap Install. Your phone will restart, and then install the update.

[quote_box_center]It usually takes 8-10 minutes to install an update, but it could take longer, if you think your phone got stuck while updating Restart the phone to get your update back on track.[/quote_box_center]

*Windows Phone 8.1 Update 2 is rumoured to be coming soon as a Preview for Developer users, exactly on 8th October. But who knows.
