How to reset forgotten Windows password

For this tutorial we’ll download a program and we’ll burn it on a CD or a USB stick. This method works on Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8, 8.1, Server.

Step 1: Download PCUnlocker from here and burn it on a CD or on a USB stick, for both you can use this ISO burner application.

Just browse for the PCUnlocker .iso file that we just downloaded, select whether you want to burn it on a CD or on a USB Flash Drive and click Start Burn.

Step 2: Now that we burned image on the USB stick/CD remains to boot the PC with it. For this we need to change the boot order in BIOS. Power on the computer and keep pressing DEL key, till BIOS shows up. Using arrow keys navigate to BOOT tab and set 1st Boot Device as CD or USB stick, depending on what you wrote the image file then exit BIOS and don’t forget to save the settings.

Step 3: When computer powers up, it will automatically boot from the Device you selected. From the dialog window choose which password you want to reset and click Reset Password. After process completes, restart computer.
