This tutorial will help you in the following situations:
- Xolo Q1010i is not turning on after trying to root or frash a cusom ROM
- Downgrade Xolo Q1010i from Android 4.4.2 KitKat to Android 4.2.2 Jellybean
- Xolo Q1010i stuck at Xolo logo and doesn’t boot
- Flash stock ROM on Xolo Q1010i
You’ll need a Windows PC and a data cable. But before we move to the complex tutorial, try recovering your smartphone by pressing Power button + Volume down for 10sec.
To flash stock recovery we need to download stock ROM and a flashing tool. Download them from bellow list:
- Android 4.2.2 JellyBean for Xolo Q1010i
- Android 4.4.2 KitKat for Xolo Q1010i
- Rooting tools – SP Flash
- Drivers – VCOM for Xolo Q1010i if it doesn work, Download from Here
P.S. Choose and download which Android version you want to flash on your smartphone, whether you want JellyBean or KitKat.
How to install VCOM drivers
Step 1: Download VCOM drivers from the link in the above list, extract the archive
Step 2: Turn off your smartphone and plug it in your PC
Step 3: If you are using Windows 8 turn off Digital Driver Signing enforcement to install this drivers successfully
Step 3: Go to Device Manager (Control Panel > Devices and Printer > Device Manager) and you’ll see a new device found Gxxx
Step 4: Right click it, click on update driver and navigate VCOM folder you extracted early
How to flash a stock ROM on Xolo Q1010i
Step 1: Download and Install SP tools from the list bellow, then run SP tools through tool.exe in SP tool folder
Step 2: Click on Download tab from the tabs list in the top part of the app
Step 3: Click on Scatter-loading button then choose the MT6582_Android_scatter.txt file in the folder Firmware (in the Android folder you downloaded)
From the Dropdown menu choose Download Only
Step 5: The final step, click on the green arrow above, the Download button. If you’ll get any errors, then from the dropdown menu select Firmware Upgrade and click the same Download button.
That’s all. Now just wait till it loads a new stock ROM and when it finishes you’ll get a popup informing you about this. Unplug the phone and turn it on.
