When you have a bucket of files and you want to rename all of them, it’s not necessary to rename them one-by-one or to search for applications that will do this trick for you. Almost every new OS, already has this feature inbuilt. Apple just introduced this feature in its new OS X Yosemite
How to rename multiple files at once on Mac
Its simple, select the files, right-click on one of them, in the shortcut menu choose Rename. Here you’ll get 3 renaming options:
- Replace text – replaces the symbols you choose
- Add text – adds some text at the beginning or at the end of the existing one
- Format – adds a number or the date to the name of the files
That’s all. Will be better to try them, then reading explanations.
