So, how to fix it?
1. Uninstall the old driver
Make sure device is plugged in, now go to: Start > Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > under Devices and Printers click on Device Manager. Here find and open the category Android USB Devices. There should be your HTC device, right-click on it and press Uninstall, check the box to Delete the driver software for the device and click OK. Unplug the device.
2. Install Sync Manager
In order to install the official drivers for your Device, you should and install HTC Sync Manager, then plugin your device it should automatically install drivers. (Restart computer if needed)
