Usually we think that loosing 2 minutes to backup data is a waste of time. However when something happens and our data gets lost, we desperately search for solutions to travel in time. So, lets do things on time for free, because later will need to pay for them.
1. How to back up Files using Samsung Kies 3
Samsung Kies 3 is the desktop software tool for all Samsung Devices, and it allows you to backup and restore data from your Samsung device. If you have Kies 3 installed on your computer, run it then connect your phone to your computer via USB data cable. In Kies tabs select or click on the Back up / Restore tab and choose the items you want to back up. Scroll to the bottom of the window and click the Backup button. Now you just need to choose which files you are going to back up (contacts, call logs, SMS/MMS, media files).
2. How to back up Data using Samsung / Google Account
Same as Samsung, Android in the name of Google has its own backup data tools that can sync on your Google Account. First, add your Samsung / Google Account to your device, go to Settings > Accounts > Add account then press on the Samsung / Google account that appears in the Accounts list and make sure the Contacts field is checked.
Now from the Home screen, tap Contacts > press the Menu key > tap Merge accounts > choose the desired Account to Merge on > tap OK
How to Restore Data using Samsung / Google Account
Tap Menu key > Settings > General tab > Accounts > choose the account on which you Synced contacts > tap email address at the top of the screen > check the box by tapping on Sync contacts then tap Sync now.
3. How to Back up Contacts to your SD card
From Home screen tap Contacts > press Menu key > tap Contacts to display > then tap All contacts > tap the Menu key > choose Import/Export > tap on Export to SD card The name of the file will appear in a pop-up window > tap OK
How to Restore Contacts from your SD card
From Home screen > tap Contacts > tap Menu key > Import / Export > Import from SD card > tap the account where you want to save the contacts > Import vCard file > OK > find the vCard file on your SD card > tap OK
