The message ,,Google Play Store could not start” is something that you can get if you are using your phone for about a year. Luckily there are some solutions to fix the Google Play Store on your Android device.

Google Play is the virtual store of Android users. Google Play Store is mostly used to download new apps and to update the existing apps from your Android.

Google Play Store doesn’t start? Clear Cache

Talking about Google Play Store app or any other app, if we get this kind of errors, we should try clearing the respective app cache memory.

To clean an app cache memory, you will have to open Settings then find Applications. Then from the list of application, you should find the Google Play Store app. When you will click on the app you will have the option to clear the apps cache memory.

But before this you should Force Stop the app, then Clear Data ( note that clearing data means you will have to log in again with your credentials) and the Clear Cache.

If clearing Google Play Store cache and data didn’t help, you can try this to install a new version of Google Play Store.

Before trying this, make sure that your phone can install applications from unknown sources. You must enable third-party apps in Android. To enable third-party apps, go to Settings > Security and check Unknown Sources. This option will allow you to install apps from other sources like websites rather than only from Google Play Store.

Then open the following address in your phone browser: http://www.apkmirror.com/. This is a mirror of apps that you find on Google Play Store. On the site use search and find the: Play Store. In the search results, you will see different versions of Google Play Store app. Choose the most recent one and download it.

An APK file will be downloaded to your phone, just open it and install it, also you will have to tap on Accept. After finish, you can just click on Open to open the newly installed Google Play Store app.
