CloudFlare is a free global CDN and DNS provider that can speedup and protect your website, not only WordPress websites. To get Free SSL for your WordPress you will have to configure it, and it’s not hard to do it, continue with following tutorial.

Step 1. You will have to sign up to CloudFlare, once you have Cloudflare setup, you will have to install two WordPress plugins to you website.:

The first plugin will allow to control CloudFlare settings. The second plugin will stop the redirect loop that may occur.

Step 2. Activate the plugins and go to the CloudFlare plugin settings. Fill in the details, if you don’t understand something click the (Get this?) link next to the input for more explanations.

Step 3. In the WordPress control panel, go to Settings > General. and then change your WordPress Address (URL) and Site Address (URL) to https.

Now your website should log you out and redirect you to the https secure version of your WordPress website.

Step 4. Go to CloudFlare plugin and click CloudFlare settings under the options. Find “Page Rules” and in these settings and make every page to go to HTTPS so your rule will be* the * which will be a wildcard for any URL. Click “Always use https” and click to Add rule.

Now your WordPress website is secure protected.
