The question:

You use 500GB, 1TB Hard disk and still don’t have enough space. So can your Windows OS support Hard Disk larger than 2 Terrabytes?

The answer:

If you are using Windows XP x64, Windows 7 and higher Windows Operating Systems with NTFS formatted partitions, there is a 2.2 TB limit. But you can get for example 2 Hard Disks both with 2 Terabytes each, so you will have in total 4 Terabytes.

You can use Hard Disks larger than 2 Terabytes with Windows Operating system which uses GPT formatting which does not have such a restriction. Window 8 and higher uses GPT formatting.
