If you never tried, you must know that Sony’s PlayStation 4 works with a mouse and keyboard. This is very useful to use when you want to surf the web browser, or even play some games using keyboard controls
Unfortunately most games still won’t work with a mouse and keyboard. Just some developers will add keyboard and mouse to their games. Anyway you can try to see if your games are working with mouse and keyboard.
How to Connect Your Mouse and Keyboard
You can use a USB mouse, keyboard or a wireless Bluetooth mouse and keyboard.
To connect a USB mouse or keyboard to your PlayStation 4, just connect them like your are doing it on PC. Find the USB ports and connect keyboard and mouse to it. Then you will have to wait some moments, as your PlayStation 4 will take a while to recognize connected devices.
Same when connecting a wireless Bluetooth mouse or keyboard to your PlayStation 4. Bluetooth works with all devices. To connect your PlayStation 4 to a Bluetooth device, you will have to go to Settings -> Devices -> Bluetooth Devices. Then put your mouse or keyboard into and it will appear on this screen, ready for your PS4 to connect to it.
You can customize the settings for connected mice and keyboards. Also from Devices select either “External Keyboard” or “Mouse.” There you can select what type of keyboard or mouse, is the mouse left-handed or right-handed, the pointer speed and some more settings.
Then you can use your the mouse and keyboard to navigate through your console just like on a regular PC. The best part would be surfing the internet through web browsing app from you console.
Having mouse and keyboard connected to you gaming console is cool. As you can stay on your game console and check your Facebook page, chat with your friends, search Netflix and use other apps easy. Also it can help you to enter Wi-Fi passwords and other login details. It will be much easier to do all these things with a mouse and keyboard than using a joystick.
